watchvia.io ("watchvia", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile picture from Google.

Usage data: We collect information about which TV shows you add to your watchlist, when you access your feeds, and your IP address at the time of login.

Payment data: If you purchase premium, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details. We store the Stripe transaction ID for our records.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide and maintain the watchvia service
To generate your personalized iCal and RSS feeds
To send you sign-in emails (magic links)
To process premium purchases
To prevent abuse and maintain security

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google OAuth: For sign-in. Google's privacy policy applies to the data they collect during the OAuth flow.
TMDb / TVmaze: We fetch TV show data from these APIs. We do not share your personal data with them.
Stripe: For payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
SendVia: For sending sign-in emails. Only your email address and the sign-in link are transmitted.

4. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data (watchlist, feed tokens, access logs) is permanently removed.

Expired magic links are automatically deleted within one hour.

6. Your Rights

You can:

View your account information in the Account settings
Delete your account and all associated data at any time
Regenerate your feed URLs if you believe they have been compromised

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, secure session handling, and CSRF protection. Feed URLs are cryptographically generated and unique to each user.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via the website.
